Love takes time...

I feel that inorder to love a person it takes time and progression. It's hard to love someone right from the start. You can say that you have a feeling you will love them but you have to interactact with them first. Love is a strong feeling that doesn't happen over night so I believe that love is a journey.

  1. I thing Love is there from the beggining and as time continues it gets stronger. Atleast from my expierne of many ppl I have seen it has. Love is a job and the more we put in the more we get out of it. Love is constant its hard and its demanding but it make you strong

  2. I agree that love takes time. However, that time can also be a short one. Growing up I believed in the idea of love at first sight due to all the television movies from ABC family and introduction of fairytales. And although I no longer believe in “love at first sight,” I still like the idea behind it. Someone can imagine a life with another person when they first see said person. If that life is as detailed as the names of the children, the house they’d live in and maybe even taking care of one another while old age sets in, it could seem like love. But that isn’t necessarily love. I believe romantic love is when you’d do what was necessary in order to be with the other person (yes that seems extreme and almost invites blind actions, but isn’t that love does?).

  3. Yes love does take time because in one day even thought that feeling might be their knowing that person has love for you, time is a gifgt to get to know that person better. As the love for eachother grow you get to know the person you love and know why you love them, but also realize that they are not perfect and love insen't either.

  4. I actually like the metaphoric cliche, "love is a journey". I figure it like this: some people like to have road maps to guide their travels, just like some people like conducted means to find love, like in online dating. A number of travelers like to take their time, maybe make a few stops on the way, others like a trip straight to their desired end. Comparatively, some people in love like to take things slow, date lots of people, while others choose to find a person they can spend the rest of their lives with, and rush to get married. Really, the connections you can make between love and a journey are infinite. However, another possibility is even if you start a journey will a predetermined destination, i.e. you meet someone with the intention to love them, or you become prey to "love at first sight", you don't know if your final locale is going to be everything you imagined it to be. Our hopes can often expand greater than the possibilities. Okay, i'm jumbling up ideas. Anyway, a journey takes time and so does love. A journey doesn't start at A and *poof* to B, the person has to find their way from the initial point to the final target.

  5. Love at first sight does exist. However, some people mistake infatuation for love. It is impossible to determine compatibility by the way a person presents themselves to the world. People can easily be attracted to the way others look. The existence of a personal connection distinguishes love and infatuation.

  6. Love does take lots of time. Only time will tell when you are in love. It takes patience; but most of all it takes the truth, loyalty, and respect of a loved one that builds up that love. Also, love is only gained when the two put effort during that time. Without it, love will never be reached.

  7. I think love is something that you have to take step by step. It can't be rushed. Some people who think they love each other and rush into a relationship, it often does not work out. It is a long process. In order to love someone, you have to be close to that person and trust them. Without that, that "love" won't last long.

  8. I agree that love takes time, but it is not impossible to fall in love quickly. Some people just have that instant connection, and others have to work hard to obtain a connection. It takes a long time to develop a love that will last forever, but overall, time helps love to grow and become strong, and without it no relationship will last.

  9. I agree with Pamela, love does take time to grow and blossom. And yet it is not impossible to fall in love quickly. The term 'Love at First Sight' can be used, though rare, it's not impossible. I agree with the others as well, love is a journey and people in love go along for the 'ride'. Love and relationships take time and patience. The more you know about one another, and gain their trust, loyalty, and respect, the love you have for one another grows stronger. If not then your relationship may falter in time. Relationships have a lot of ups and downs that can be worked out in time. If they cannot work together to solve their problems, then their relationship will not last.
